Perspective Inspector: Real World

Reinventing Reality

7,000 sq. ft. Virtual Science Center Traveling Exhibition
15 cities | 3M visitors

At this exhibit visitors view a scene of simple wooden creatures through fixed perspective view-finders at three different locations and trace them onto plexiglass. Without any previous drawing experience, they easily create 3-D perspective drawings. At the companion Perspective Inspector: Virtual World exhibit visitors compare what they’ve drawn here. This drives an “aha moment” discovery that VR software creates these same types of perspective pictures based on the location of the headset wearer.
